Mark Walker

Mark is interested in new media and museology and enjoys using skills from both fields to educate and inspire interest in the natural world. He co-created Stanford Universities' "Microdocs: Short attention span science video" project. This site uses short video to teach ecological sustainability concepts in a flexible, user-driven manner. In addition, Mark is the curator of the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. This institution is over 125 years old and displays an eclectic mix of human and natural history objects. In addition to curatorial duties, he is exploring ways to use new media to build a larger community for this museum.
